This year we celebrate 30 years of the rainbow flag, so I’m guessing the upcoming Bake Off will see more than a few rainbow-coloured cakes entered to be auctioned off.

Bake Off is the annual Pride March fundraiser, once upon a time an idea from DT’s Hotel. This year, Bake Off will once again be held at the Yorkshire Stingo Hotel in Abbotsford, and from what I hear it could be the final time our queens kick up their heels and oven mitts at Stingo, as rumour has it the venue is looking to market itself in a new direction that doesn’t include rainbow flags! So get baking and enter your kitchen crafts on Saturday September 13: registrations noon, judging from 1:30pm, and the auction itself from 3pm. My money’s on the ‘All So Fabulous’ cake!
