KYLIE [MUSHROOM]

Kylie’s enforced and rather unfortunate break from recording has actually been an artistic blessing in disguise. Though still not as spellbinding, nor as awe inspiring as Fever, her tenth album X demonstrates that this almost 40-year-old has lost none of her freshness, her electropop sparkle, or her ability to entertain a youth-oriented audience.

There’s not a single track on X that won’t have Kylie’s fans squealing like a pen full of piglets at slops time. The beats are sky high, bouncy and friendly, the melodies as familiar as your Grannie’s wrinkled lips, and the lyrics straight from a first grader’s storybook. It’s a record made in gay heaven!
