OUT OF CONTROL—GIRLS ALOUD [POLYDOR]
Last week I had The Saturdays putting the GAs on official notice. Well, in the blink of a diamanted eyelash, Girls Aloud are back and have bitch-slapped those High Street slappers right back to where they’re from – Nowhereland.

With Out of Control, their fifth studio album, the GAs have attempted, and partially achieved, a semi-reinvention of sorts. The lovely ladies have dabbled with newness, in particular the Pet Shop Boys’ penned ‘The Loving Kind’, the drum’n’bass ‘Live in the Country’, and the US market pointed ‘Revolution in the Head’.

Girlie boys still have their disco needs fulfilled with the stiletto-snappingly good club tunes ‘Untouchable’ and ‘Love is the Key’. Are these Girls now bigger than those other spicey Girls? Me thinks so.
