MINISTRY OF SOUND: SESSIONS SIXVarious Artists Universal 2 stars The Ministry of Sound label is certainly prolific, I’ll give them that. And this three-disc compilation, mixed by Goodwill, Tommy Trash and Dirty South is decent, I suppose. We have the Deadmau5 remix of Calvin Harris’s ‘I’m Not Alone’, and the Dresden & Johnston Club remix of Lily Allen’s ‘The Fear’ on disc 1; we have the Tom Middleton remix of The Presets’ ‘If I Know You’ (an absolute cracker of a song), and the Erol Alkan rework of Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ ‘Zero’ on disc 2; and disc 3 features the Dirty South remix of ‘Leave the World Behind’ by Axwell, et al. There’s a lot of crap here, so you’ve got to hunt for the diamonds in the rough. Overall this is not for me – but if it’s your thing...
