Updating trad soul singers with guest vocalists and a host of canny remixers is a recipe for disaster at the best of times. But this first single release from John Legend’s forthcoming Evolver is a work of sheer genius. John engages the sass of Outkast’s Andre 3000 for this slick, upbeat RnB number. Gone is the seated-by-piano Legend of the past, swapped for some chic, be-suited dance moves and sexy camera acting. 
Turning the already hip beats into a slinky house choon was always gonna be a joyous task, and with shining stars like Johnny Douglas, Tom Neville and Sandy Riveria twiddling the knobs, Greenlight gets the go-ahead for farouche floor fanatics. Flamboyant sorts will also dig the synchronized swimmers and showgirls in the video.
