I, too, greatly enjoyed the film Shelter (MCV #389, Thursday June 19). What a breath of fresh air to see a gay film that isn’t all about sex.
Sure the hot bodies were great to look at, but what a great scene when the protagonist and his love interest actually spend a night together, having dinner and being affectionate without sex.
I know this is something I personally have rarely experienced, but it looks like a good idea. Imagine getting to know each other before the sex wears off. I may try it some day!
Of course the film had its cheesy moments, it was American after all, but please, filmmakers, can we have some more?
