Bemoaning the absence of a queer and alternative nightspot in the Northern suburbs? Your blues are over, Bambi has arrived big time. Setting up shop Wednesdays at Noise Bar in the heart of Brunswick, this Bent night for the ambiguously cheeky offers all the comforts of home including pool tables, couches, stunning dance floor, thumping sound system, cheap drinks and a "wicked" beer garden. The locals are a mix of genderfied queers from the depth of the GLBTI soup mix. $5 entry gets you Dirty Electro, Breaks and Mash ups from Melbourne's new breed of DJ. What are you waiting for? Bambi at Noise Bar, 291 Albert Street, Brunswick, Wednesdays 9pm-3am. www.myspace.com/thenoisebar
